THE FOOT, THE FOUNDATION OF OUR BODY
Around 600,000 years ago, humans began to walk upright. Ever since, our feet have had to bear the burden. They carry us around the world four times, about 160,000 km, during our lifetime.
The foot, like the whole body, is a miracle. A perfect construction of 28 bones, held together by ligaments, which together with muscles and tendons move the joints flexibly, allowing us to walk, run, dance and jump.
Longitudinal and transverse arches, important for the foot's flexible sequence of walking, provide suspension with every tread. The skin protects, regulates the temperature, and releases moisture.
