What is special on the GANTER AKTIV?
Special are the unique rocker sole and the pressure element. The combination of the pressure on the sole and the special construction of the cork footbed have a sensomotoric and activating effect for the muscles and relieves back and joints.
What is sensomotoric?
Sensomotoric is the physical reaction of the impulse perception. These reactions are often unconsciously and reflectively. The sensomotoric activation of the sole can influence the entire body.
Can diabetics wear the GANTER AKTIV?
As long there is no pressure limitation (polyneuropathy), the GANTER AKTIV can be worn from every diabetic. We recommend our GANTER SENSITIV for Diabetics, who need orthopaedic insoles, more space or are limited with pressure.
What is the difference between the old and new GANTER AKTIV?
In general, there is no difference in function between old and new GANTER AKTIV. Only the sensomotoric pressure element was optimized. The pressure is more reduced than in the old GANTER AKTIV.
Helps the GANTER AKTIV with foot pain?
The GANTER AKTIV highly relieves with the form of the sole and the pressure element. We recommend them with general problems in the forefoot.
Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV with flat feet?
When you have flat feet, you should try the shoes with a specialist. Maybe you have to adapt the pressure in the midfoot with the footbed or with the height of the pressure element. The GANTER AKTIV demonstrates its strengths when you have skewed, sunken or splayed feet. The shoe stabilizes and activates your feet.
Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV with high arches?
In general, the GANTER AKTIV offers excellent relief with high arches. The pressure element and the rocker sole do a very good job on every step.
Helps the GANTER AKTIV with heel spur?
If you have a heel spur or a plantar fasciitis you have to support your longitudinal arch to reduce the tension from your sole. The GANTER AKTIV can really help you. In individual cases you can often use the shoes without the additional exposure and padding of the heel strike.
Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV with my own insoles?
Of course, you can wear the GANTER AKTIV with your individual insoles. Maybe you have to adapt your insoles in the midfoot to reduce the pressure on the sole or you remove material from the pressure element. Another option could be a heel wedge.

Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV with an artificial hip joint?
In general, you can wear the GANTER AKTIV without limitation of an artificial hip joint or knee joint. The GANTER AKTIV use more heel pitch than our old model to fast-track the phase of adaptation.
Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV with leg length discrepancy?
As long you can balance your leg length discrepancy with removing and/or building up the footbed, it is easy for your orthopaedic shoemaker. It is more complex to build up the sole. Just ask your orthopaedic shoemaker for advice.
Can I wear the GANTER AKTIV after a slipped disc?
The GANTER AKTIV can be very helpful. The heel damping and the rocker sole relieves your back. The pressure could cause an uncomfortable reflex in individual cases. The best is to just try them out!
